About the Role

We are looking for a Field Application Engineer to support the deployment and operations of Corinex solutions with German customers. You will be involved in hands-on installation, analysis, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux systems, IP networking, and private/public cloud systems. You will plan, execute, and evaluate projects according to predetermined timelines and budgets. You will provide technical support to our customers remotely and, if needed, in the field. In your activity, you will report to German and international management.

Responsibilities:

Lead the installation, commissioning, and operation of Corinex's Broadband Powerline (BPL) solutions at customer sites, ensuring smooth deployment and effective system performance.

Foster strong, long-term relationships with customers, stakeholders, colleagues, and suppliers. Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring customer satisfaction and successfully adopting Corinex solutions.

Serve as the primary technical contact for customer inquiries, diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently while collaborating with internal teams to address complex challenges. Act as a liaison between customers, project teams, and internal departments to ensure seamless communication, alignment on technical requirements, and adherence to project timelines. Support network architecture development, troubleshoot deployed designs, and optimize system performance for reliable real-world operation.

Work with customers and internal teams to translate customer needs and industry standards into system-level and equipment specifications. Assist in the architecting, testing, and implementing Corinex's smart grid network solutions.

Provide expert technical assistance remotely and by on-site visits. Support sales teams in demonstrating technical capabilities to secure high-value partnerships with utilities and Tier 1 customers.

Conduct comprehensive training sessions and technical workshops, equipping customers with the knowledge to maximize the functionality and efficiency of Corinex's BPL solutions. Tailor communication to different technical backgrounds, ensuring clarity and engagement.

Assist in proposal responses, preparing technical collateral and documentation for training materials, product specifications, and deployment procedures.

Gather insights from real-world applications and customer feedback to drive continuous product improvements. Work closely with the R&D and development teams to refine Corinex solutions based on industry needs and emerging technologies.

Develop detailed installation reports, support case logs, and maintenance records. Your documentation will contribute to quality assurance, process optimization, and future product development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and professionally and foster strong client relationships.

Experience in installing and maintaining IT or networking technologies, ideally in Broadband Powerline (BPL) or similar communication technologies.

Strong knowledge of IP networking protocols. Deep understanding of communication infrastructures (TCP/IP, QoS, encryption, etc.).

Fundamental Networking skills: IP routing and switching (DHCP, NAT, VLAN, Security, etc.)

Proficiency in Bash, Shell, and Python scripting for automation, system monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Experience with SQL-based databases, including SQLite and Microsoft SQL Server, for data analysis and system configuration.

Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Server environments, including system administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Understanding electrical power distribution systems, including grid infrastructure, smart grids, and utility communication networks.

Knowledge of grid flexibility and visibility is a plus.

Advanced in German (C1 level) with the ability to communicate effectively in English, including the ability to explain complex technical issues in an understandable way in both languages.
