Fiber Optic Assembler

We are committed to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement programs. The Assembler will work on fiber optic assembly of basic medical assembly and complex industrial assembly of our products.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble fiber optic cable components according to established procedures and quality standards.

Operate tools and equipment to cut, strip, and terminate fiber optic cables.

Ensure that assembled cables meet quality standards.

Troubleshoot and repair cables as necessary.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.

Communicate with supervisors and coworkers regarding production status and quality issues.

Qualifications/Experience/Education

Ability to read/follow and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with small parts.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Mid-level skillset on a flow-line.

Good communication skills and ability to precisely follow work instructions.

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Proficient at reading and writing the English language.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.

The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
