Outsourcing Advantage is seeking a FI Intake Specialist who supports individuals and families through the initial enrollment and approval process for Self-Direction services. This role guides participants from initial inquiry through service approval. The Intake Specialist provides education on Self-Direction options, gathers and reviews required documentation, submits materials to OPWDD, and tracks progress. Upon initial budget approval, the Intake Specialist transitions the individual to their assigned OPWDD Coordinator.
Key responsibilities include:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for individuals seeking Self-Direction services
• Educate individuals and families on program options, budget categories, and enrollment procedures
• Meet with participants to assess needs and goals, determining program fit
• Gather, review, and ensure completeness and accuracy of startup and initial budget documentation
• Submit required materials to OPWDD and follow up on outstanding items
• Maintain accurate case records in Enterprise and Evero systems
• Track application status, approvals, and follow-up actions to ensure timely processing
• Coordinate with brokers, OPWDD, and internal teams throughout the intake workflow
• Address intake questions and escalate complex issues as needed
• Transition approved individuals to the assigned OPWDD Coordinator with complete documentation and case information
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
• English proficiency at C1 level
• Legal authorization to work in the Dominican Republic
• Available to work during U.S. Eastern Time business hours
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple intake cases simultaneously
• Strong organizational skills for managing documentation, deadlines, and follow-ups
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and completing intake and budget documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
• Working proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Prior knowledge of OPWDD/Self-Direction or similar disability services programs
• Experience in a customer-facing role communicating with clients/customers and their families
• Experience coordinating with external program coordinators or case managers
