Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Fenestration Specialist to join our dynamic team at ZURU. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Facade, window, and door systems, with a strong understanding of global building design, codes and building envelope, performance testing, and design compliance. This role involves cross-functional coordination to ensure that our fenestration solutions meet international Building Codes and internal performance goals.

What are you Going to do?
📌 Conduct research on fenestration systems (windows, doors, curtain walls, skylights, facades, etc.) using regulation and structural analysis tools.
📌 Perform & analyse calculation related to fenestration & weather tightness testing.
📌 Collaborate with architects, consultants, and PO/PD to provide technical expertise on materials, profiles, and glazing.
📌 Provide technical Review and feedback related to code compliance of fenestration products.
📌 Prepare testing and validation plans for air, water, thermal, and structural performance as per international/national standards (ASTM, AAMA, EN, NFRC, etc.).
📌 Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and energy efficiency standards
📌 Provide support and research to R&D team in developing innovative and sustainable fenestration solutions.
📌 Take end-to-end ownership of assigned projects, ensuring deliverables meet quality, schedule, and regulatory milestones.
📌 Build and maintain a version-controlled, company-wide database of codes, compliance pathways, accepted solutions, and verification methods.

What are we Looking for?
✔ Masters/Bachelor ‘s degree in Building Science, Civil, Engineering, or a related field.
✔ Extensive experience in fenestration, windows, opening, code interpretation, and standards research.
✔ Demonstrated expertise in fenestration and openings performance testing and requirements.
✔ Deep working knowledge of NZBC, NCC, ICC, IBC, ASTM, ISO, and related international standards
✔ Strong analytical, documentation, and technical-writing skills; able to distil complex regulations into actionable guidance
✔ Excellent English communication and presentation skills; ability to collaborate within cross-functional, fast-paced teams and to work independently when required.
✔ Familiarity with BIM authoring/review tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks) and regulatory databases is an advantage.
