Sydney Health & Care Services (SHCS) is hiring Female Residential Support Worker to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team in the Sydney region - Revesby.
This roles supports male participant living in a SIL home who require higher support needs, including behaviours of concern and health-related support routines. We’re looking for calm, consistent and reliable workers who can follow support plans and routines closely, while delivering respectful, person-centred support.
There is an opportunity to be hired as Casual Residential Care Worker at discretion of the hiring manager after 6 months of continuous employment and meeting all targets.
Days and times available for SIL shifts and CP shifts:
Monday: 10.30am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm
Tuesday: 10.30am to 2pm
Wednesday: 10.30am to 2pm, 10pm to 6am (sleepover/inactive)
Thursday: 10.30am to 2pm
Friday: 10.30am to 2pm
What you’ll be doing
Providing in-home SIL supports (daily living, routines, prompting and personal care as required)
Providing community participation supports
Implementing Behaviour Support Plans in line with NDIS requirements
Using low-arousal communication and positive behaviour support approaches
Following health and medication routines and safety protocols
Completing progress notes and incident reports to a high standard
Supporting community access when appropriate
Working within a consistent team with clear escalation pathways
What we’re looking for
SIL experience and/or experience supporting complex needs
Must be comfortable with verbal and physical aggression
Must be familiar with Absconding behaviours
Proven use of BSPs, ABC reporting, incident management, and de-escalation frameworks
Calm, emotionally regulated approach during escalation
Strong routine-following, reliability and professionalism
Excellent boundaries, confidentiality, and documentation skills
Confident communication and teamwork
Essentials
NDIS Worker Screening Check
First Aid & CPR
Driver’s Licence
Medication competency (or willingness to obtain)
Availability across a 24/7 roster (including weekends and sleepovers as required)
All employment conditions and classification are in line with the SCHADS Award (based on experience/qualifications).
