Your Team:

The Office of Enforcement and Neighborhood Services (OENS) leads the agency’s effort to work closely with other HPD divisions and outside community partners to identify buildings in distress, assess and develop appropriate strategies to address those properties and work closely with responsible owners to develop a plan to improve conditions and return buildings to firm financial footing and physical health. OENS uses enforcement tools within its Division of Code Enforcement, Housing Litigation Division, Emergency Operations and Enhanced Enforcement, and the Division of Neighborhood Preservation to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.

The Office of Enforcement and Neighborhood Services is composed of six divisions: Data Management & Technology (DMT), Division of Neighborhood Preservation (DNP), Administration & Internal Compliance (AIC), Housing Litigation Division (HLD), Division of Code Enforcement (DCE), and Emergency Operations and Enhanced Enforcement Division (EOD).

Your Impact:

OENS is seeking a FAR Administrative Support/Community Coordinator. The responsibilities include providing overall support for the Field Audit Review (FAR) Unit by handling day-to-day logistics related to investigative audits as well as pre- and post-training tasks.

Your Role:

Under the general supervision of the FAR Director and Deputy Director in the Division of Administration and Internal Compliance (AIC) within OENS, the selected candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Your Responsibilities:

- Planning the training schedule and logistics for FAR Trainings, such as coordinating availability with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), ordering training supplies, coordinating orders with the Print Shop, assembling training manuals and handouts, etc.;
- Coordinating the pre-training tasks as well as handling administrative/personnel issues that arise during the trainings in a highly organized and timely manner;
- Maintaining training files and records in an organized and accessible fashion, this includes saving and delivering timesheets and other forms collected during trainings (e.g., EPA Lead applications, HUD Visual Inspection training, Employee Info Forms, etc.);
- Collecting, analyzing, and distributing training records to training partners, including downloading data, updating complex tracking spreadsheets, scanning paper records, and ensuring the integrity of training data/records;
- Working closely with OENS Personnel to maintain an accurate staff list for mandatory trainings such as Conflict of Interest Board, Department of Investigation, and other annual compliance trainings;
- Providing support to FAR Investigations, for example, maintaining 7A Financial Reports in an organized manner for audit purposes, updating internal FAR tracking sheets based on monthly staff rosters, etc.;
- Acting as primary point of contact for administrative functions related to the FAR Trainings and Investigations/Audits;
- Assisting with meetings and calendar management; and
- Completing special projects and administrative responsibilities, as assigned.

Preferred Skills:

- Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of organization and autonomy in workload management, adept at independently prioritizing tasks and executing them efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills that allow for effective communications with agency senior management and staff.
- Strong computer skills (including expertise in MS Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and curiosity to learn more about housing safety procedures and processes.
- Ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of a team.

Authorization to work in the United States is required for this position. COMMUNITY COORDINATOR - 56058

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
