Family Medicine Physician
Position Summary
The Family Medicine Physician provides comprehensive, continuous medical care to patients of all ages in an outpatient and/or inpatient setting, depending on practice structure. This role focuses on preventive care, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions, and long-term patient relationships across the lifespan.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive primary care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Perform patient evaluations, histories, and physical examinations
• Diagnose and manage acute illnesses and chronic medical conditions
• Deliver preventive care services, including health screenings and immunizations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Order, interpret, and document diagnostic tests and results
• Perform routine office-based procedures within scope of practice
• Coordinate care with specialists and ancillary services as needed
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention, wellness, and self-management
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Practice Setting
• Outpatient clinic, with optional inpatient or hospital rounding depending on practice model
• May include call coverage or extended hours as required
Qualifications
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program
• Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the practicing state
• DEA registration or eligibility
