POSITION SUMMARY:
Maintain the Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds (Meeker and Rangely) facilities and grounds for public use.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare fairgrounds facilities for public use enforcing established rules and regulations
Perform manual labor in cleaning arenas, barns, exhibit halls and other fairgrounds facilities
Assist in setting up and taking down of equipment related to events
Operate a variety of maintenance equipment and hand tools commonly used in building and grounds maintenance
Keep time and records as required
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Safe work practices.
Safe operation of a variety of hand and power tools.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other county employees, representatives of other agencies and organizations, and members of the community.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
Follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work weekends and holidays.
Education and/or Experience:
Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
Licenses or Certificates:
Valid driver license
Physical Demands:
Heavy – exert up to 100 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move heavy objects.
Sitting, walking or standing for long periods
Must be able to stoop, bend, stretch, twist, reach, kneel, squat and balance repetitively
Handling, seizing, holding, grasping, or otherwise working with hands
Climbing stairs
Unaided lift up to 50 lbs, aided lift over 50 pounds
Climbing ladders
Work Environment:
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors
Exposure to loud noises, vibrations, heights, depths, dirt, oil fumes, dust, mud, grease, animals and extreme weather conditions
