ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Facilities Supervisor.
The Facilities Supervisor oversees daily operations of the engineering department for the assigned facility. Responsibilities include coordinating installation, repair, and maintenance of all building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, utilities, and general grounds/plant upkeep. This role ensures the facility is safe, well‑maintained, and operating efficiently. The Facilities Supervisor also manages site safety programs, documentation, and adherence to all Able Engineering Services operational standards, policies, and procedures.
Pay Range is: $70.00-80.00/HR
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. An offer will vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Essential Functions:
• Supervise and implement all preventive maintenance and repair operations at the facility.
• Schedule emergency repairs based on priority and team capabilities.
• Provide technical guidance and instruction to staff on mechanical, hydraulic, and safety procedures.
• Perform regular equipment inspections to ensure maintenance meets AES standards.
• Implement the department’s quality assurance program.
• Direct or participate in facility programs and committees such as safety, disaster response, fire, and pollution control.
• Recommend site‑specific policies and procedures to improve plant operations.
• Develop procedures for tracking, labeling, and recording maintenance, life expectancy, and inspections of capital and non‑capital equipment.
• Maintain and update long‑term engineering capital plans.
• Recommend equipment replacements and assist with long‑range planning and contractor coordination.
• Assist in developing and implementing operating and capital budgets.
• Plan and schedule departmental services, establish work standards, and evaluate results.
• Create plans to improve departmental efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
• Communicate policies, address job issues, and support employee concerns.
• Promote strong performance habits, professional behavior, and positive team attitudes.
• Train, direct, evaluate, and coach engineering staff.
• Ensure enforcement of safety and fire‑prevention regulations and promote safe work habits.
• Oversee maintenance and safety compliance for all shop equipment.
• Promote and supervise good housekeeping practices throughout the facility.
• Ensure building systems operate efficiently, emphasizing utility consumption and environmental responsibility.
• Implement programs to promote energy conservation among staff and tenants.
• Maintain ongoing professional development to stay current on equipment, codes, and procedures.
• Support and follow ABM Engineering Services operational policies, standards, and safety program.
• Collaborate with facility management on plant and tenant‑related issues.
• Foster a professional work environment with clear communication and service standards.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, employment laws, and safe work practices.
• Develop departmental and individual goals, build team morale, and support staff growth.
• Perform related duties with a proactive “can‑do” approach.
Qualifications:
• Experience that is commensurate with the specific facility for the position of Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.
• Prefer 5+ years progressive operations experience.
• Strong employee relation skills, coaching skills and training skills.
• Preferred: High-rise Fire Safety Director, Haz-Mat Certification, Indoor Air Quality Certification, LEED Certification.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Computer skills and building automation systems experience required.
• Certification meeting OSHA ACM awareness training requirements as required.
• Working knowledge of energy conservation required, formal training preferred.
• Must be well organized and a planner.
• Experience building a quality and efficient team.
• Working with vendors and getting proposals is a must.
