The Supervisor, Facilities is geared toward electrical, mechanical and operational functionality of the building, including ensuring that the facility is operating in accordance with OSHA and other safety requirements. Supervisor, Facilities is responsible for coordinating all 3rd-party contractors in accordance with SGS Group OI policies.
• The Supervisor, Facilities is also responsible for ordering supplies, hazardous and nonhazardous waste management, training employees on laboratory equipment and facility-related issues, and participating in any plans for change or expansion.
• Maintain adequate stock of facility supplies and equipment, including inventory control and ordering
• Coordinate and ensure compliance with a preventive maintenance program
• Oversee operation and maintenance of the facility to meet standards set by senior management and regulatory agencies 
• Evaluate and address current and future facility needs of the site 
• Monitor all areas for opportunities to improve in terms of both efficiency and cost reduction 
• Coordinate and monitor the efforts of contracted facility services 
• Oversee maintenance of the exterior of the building, including roof, parking lot, and exterior landscaping 
• Play a lead role in the initial training of new employees in health and safety as well as facility-related issues (e.g. building security, entering and exiting procedures, facility alarm codes, and procedures, emergency exits, etc.)
• Play a lead role in the training of current staff in health and safety as well as facility-related issues as needed
• 5+ years of experience directly overseeing facility operations and upkeep in a commercial setting
• 1+ years of supervisory and/or Team Lead experience 
• Bachelor’s or associates degree in chemistry or related sciences
• Previous experience in laboratory facility construction and/or maintenance preferred
