Primary Function of Position:

Under general supervision, organize and lead general janitors, CER janitors, and gowns laundry personnel to support core business and processes by maintaining a comfortable, efficient, and functional working environment.

Oversee the Facilities Tickets System to ensure that all requests entered related to janitorial services, gown laundry, and CER sanitizing are addressed and solved in a quality and timely manner.

Responsible for managing the cleaning, sanitizing, pest control, and landscaping contractors, and related service providers to assure the proper environment of multiple facilities to support Mexicali's operations.

Maintains the Facilities Service Level key indicator.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Constantly monitors the Facilities Tickets System to assign service requests related to janitorial, sanitizing, pest control, and landscaping, monitor performance of his crew executing these orders, and ensures that all requests are completed in terms of quality and time.
• Manages the janitorial contractor to maintain common areas in the best and most comfortable condition.
• Assures that janitorial meets procedure 853264 FACILITY CLEANING AND PEST CONTROL and all forms contained on such procedure are filled out and filed in a timely manner.
• Assures that all logs, forms, and reports related to general cleaning, CER sanitizing, and gown laundry service made by subcontractors meet GDP practices.
• Assures that all work done by his team is performed meeting all safety, hygiene, and environmental standards in place, internal and external.
• Supports the PMC department for CER cleaning when required.
• In coordination with the Facilities Administrator, assures that his department has the materials and tools required to provide the service required.
• Ensures that all work areas are maintained clean and ordered.
• Participate in the Emergency and Fire Brigades and Health and Safety Commission, when required.
• Participate in the Health and Safety courses and training for the job required.
• Address payroll incidents for the personnel in charge for approval.
• Ensure that his team meets the training program dictated by the ISU (Intuitive Surgical University) system.
• Perform evaluation of each team member for annual CIP (Compensation Incentive Plan) and annual MERIT granting, providing feedback to your staff.

Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

• High school diploma required, but a Bachelor's Degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in Facilities Maintenance management departments.
• Experience in a highly regulated medical manufacturing environment, preferred.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Preferred software skills: MS Office Suite a must.
• Team leadership: proactive in achieving and surpassing customer expectations.
• Excellent customer service attitude.
• Excellent collaboration between interdisciplinary teams.
• Agility: ability to prioritize and smoothly manage multiple tasks.
• Ownership: personally responsible and accountable for achieving performance goals as well as those of a team.
