POSITION SUMMARY:
The Plant Operations Manager at Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles plays a vital leadership role in ensuring the facility remains safe, efficient, and fully operational to support both patient care and daily hospital operations. This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and overall functionality of the facility while promoting a clean, secure, and well-maintained environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
In this hands-on role, the Plant Operations Manager supervises maintenance personnel and assists with the repair and upkeep of the facility, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general maintenance needs. The position also focuses heavily on preventative maintenance strategies to minimize operational disruptions, improve efficiency, and maintain long-term facility performance.
Safety and compliance are key responsibilities of this role. The Plant Operations Manager routinely identifies and addresses potential hazards, ensures compliance with safety regulations and healthcare standards, and supports emergency preparedness efforts to help maintain a safe environment throughout the facility.
Additional responsibilities may include carpentry, painting, groundskeeping, equipment maintenance, and coordinating vendor or contractor services as needed. Strong technical knowledge, organizational skills, attention to detail, communication abilities, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: Minimum High School Diploma
License: None
Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in general maintenance experience in a hospital or business setting with
duties that include general maintenance tasks involving the upkeep of the facility.
