Reports to: CEO of Chukchansi Sovereign Enterprises
Employment Type: Non-Exempt - Full-Time w/Benefits
Pay Range: $42,000 - $56,000 per year

JOB SUMMARY
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance across tribal buildings and properties. This role supports Chukchansi Sovereign Enterprises (CSE) and Historic Village in ensuring that all facilities are safe, functional, and compliant with tribal and regulatory standards. The technician conducts repairs, monitors building systems, and assists with inspections and improvement projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Perform daily maintenance tasks across tribal buildings including offices, community centers, and service facilities
Conduct repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
Assist in implementing preventative maintenance schedules and emergency response procedures
Respond to work orders and urgent maintenance issues in a timely manner
Support inspections and coordinate with vendors and contractors as directed
Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies; report needs to CEO.
Ensure compliance with safety codes and environmental regulations
Assist with setup and breakdown for tribal events and facility use
Participate in capital improvement projects and renovations as assigned
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and facility conditions
Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO of the Chukchansi Sovereign Enterprises.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education High School diploma or GED required.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance or related field.
HVAC, Electrical or Plumbing licenses or certifications are preferred.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel regionally as needed
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening

In accordance with applicable Tribal law and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians (PRCI) Administration provides employment preference to enrolled PRCI Tribal Members. To qualify, applicants must submit valid proof of enrollment. Tribal Members who meet the minimum qualifications will be given preference in hiring, promotion, transfer, and layoff decisions. During the interview process, PRCI Tribal Members will receive an additional 7.5 points (10% of the 75-point interview rubric). Non-PRCI Native American candidates will receive an additional 5 points (6.7% of the total points) in accordance with Indian Preference guidelines.
INDIAN PREFERENCE STATEMENT:
In compliance with 25 CFR Part 276 and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Sections 701(b) and 703(i), employment preference shall be given to qualified applicants who are enrolled members of the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians, and secondarily, to another qualified American Indian/Alaska Native Candidate.
