The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Part-Time Cleaner to support our Childcare Centre in Quispamsis. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff. This position plays an important part in ensuring our childcare space remains healthy and well-maintained at all times.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in cleanliness, works independently, and is available to work evenings between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Additional flexibility may be required depending on operational needs.
Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness, neatness, and organization of the childcare centre
Clean and sanitize classrooms, washrooms, and common areas
Empty garbage and recycling bins
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect floors and surfaces
Clean and sanitize toys, furniture, and equipment as required
Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and tissue products
Follow cleaning procedures and safety standards
Ensure a safe and hygienic environment for children and staff
Report any maintenance or safety concerns to supervisor
Skills and Qualifications
Previous cleaning experience (childcare or commercial setting an asset)
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a physically active environment
WHMIS certification is an asset (training provided if needed)
First Aid/CPR/AED is an asset or willingness to obtain
Must be able to provide a clean Criminal Record Check
