Facade Design Manager

We are seeking a Design Manager to join our Façade Engineering team in Adelaide. This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving technical excellence, business growth, and client satisfaction across a diverse portfolio of new build and remediation projects.

You’ll oversee all aspects of façade engineering – from design, documentation and compliance through to project delivery – while leading and mentoring a small team of engineers. Working closely with the Regional Manager, you’ll contribute to regional strategy, strengthen client relationships, and play a pivotal role in the continued growth of Inhabit in Australia.

You will also be responsible for:

• Leading and delivering façade engineering projects from concept through to construction, ensuring high technical standards and compliance
• Providing technical leadership, mentoring and professional development for your team.
• Supporting regional strategic planning, financial management, and business growth initiatives.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
• Actively participating in industry events, networking opportunities, and knowledge-sharing forums to enhance Inhabit’s profile.
• Driving continuous improvement in systems, processes, and project outcomes.

• Qualifications in Civil Engineering / Architecture (or related field), with demonstrated experience in the facades industry.
• Proven experience as a design / engineering manager within a consultancy environment.
• Proactive and displays initiative, responding effectively to changing needs.
• Strong problem solving and conducts thorough analysis before making decisions.
• Strong organisational skills to manage design administration, compliance and documentation within identified project deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
