About the role
We are looking for a Junior Financial Analyst Intern to join our team in Barcelona. This role will support the business through financial analysis, reporting, and research activities, working closely with the management team to drive informed decision-making.
Expected Contribution:
The intern will support the business by:
Preparing presentations and management reports.
Assisting in quantitative and qualitative business research.
Providing analytical support to financial and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Support financial processes and the use of information systems related to budgeting, forecasting,
and financial reporting.
Collaborate with the management team by providing insights, feedback, and analytical support
on business needs and initiatives.
Prepare financial analysis and trend reports, including:
Customer and product profitability
Variance and quadrant analysis
Capital expenditures (CAPEX)
Productivity and performance indicators
Ensure high accuracy and attention to detail in all financial and management information.
Required Competencies & Capabilities
Solid knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Strong ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports, statements, and projections.
Hands-on mindset, high attention to detail, and strong ownership of tasks.
Constant curiosity, proactive attitude, and strong problem-solving skills.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Languages:
English: High level (C1 or equivalent) – MUST
Spanish: High level or Native – MUST
Italian: a plus (not mandatory)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field (required).
Master’s degree in finance or accounting / MBA (preferred).
Internship Requirements (MUST)
Ability to sign a University Internship Agreement (Convenio de Prácticas).
Availability of at least 1200 internship hours.
Internship duration: 9 months.
Start date: March or early April.
