What You Will Achieve

In this role, you will:

• Join a global team that is responsible for overseeing and directing all supply & business activities for multiple Contract Manufacturers (worldwide) and the API products they supply to Pfizer.  
• Collaborate with Pfizer's supply chain teams, Brand Supply Leaders, and External Supply Operations.
• Ensure smooth, efficient, and cost-effective supply chain processes to meet customer satisfaction & a cost-effective supply chain.
• Ensure supply chain excellence by partnering with supply chain planners, Subject Matter Experts, procurement & financial controllers
• Your advanced knowledge of the overall API Manufacturing space and comprehensive knowledge of other disciplines will enable you to lead complex projects across the division.
• Lead and manage complex projects, including reviewing statuses, budgets, schedules, preparing status reports, developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
• Develop and manage plans to achieve objectives, interpret internal and external business challenges, and recommend improvements. While managing complex project environments, you will be able to anticipate and troubleshoot roadblocks and influence teams to achieve targets for the division. 
• Drive cost improvement initiatives, projects and supplier negotiation with the cross functional team
• Develop strategies for supply chain requirements, stay aware of new sourcing opportunities, and ensure compliance with legal requirements and corporate policies.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

• Minimum Bachelor degree (Chemical Engineering or Chemistry); Masters, PhD and/or MBA strongly preferred
• Min 10 years’ experience as Operations Manager in External Supply, API Manufacturing Operations, API Technology Services, Global Supply Chain or Procurement
• Exceptional skills in planning, organization, and working within matrix teams to deliver strategic goals
• Proven project management abilities, demonstrating multitasking, time management, and working autonomously
• Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with excellent oral and written communication
• Experience in developing and leading/co-leading complex projects
• Experience in projects that require collaborative approaches; strong analytical skills; ability to understand business issues and processes;
• Knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical API manufacturing processes and regulatory requirements
• The role has to be based in Singapore only.

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

• Proficiency in Mandarin language
• Familiarity with industry standards for Good Manufacturing Practices in drug product manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of Supply Chain discipline
• Excellent negotiation skills for managing essential contracts and agreements
• Ability to influence and drive teams towards achieving division targets
• High degree of adaptability and problem-solving skills in complex project environments
• Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
