Software Dev Sr. Analyst in Microsoft IIS administration - IF

Role Overview

A challenging role to manage, support and enhance the web hosting infrastructure for one of our major financial services client. This is a key role in ensuring that the websites are healthy with high availability and performance.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide support including analysis, debugging, maintenance and performance tuning for Web Hosting environment (Windows Server 2008, IIS 7.x, .NET framework, load balancers, configuration file, etc.)

• Deploy new websites while improving existing client site setup and processes

• Support Website / software upgrades while improving overall software deployment/upgrade process

• Assist in the delivery of a Content Delivery Network (CDN) including interface with AKAMAI

• Apply best practices, disciplines and tools across the requisite web technologies, including IIS, web services, directory services, security, database, and networking infrastructure with a working understanding of Networking Principles, TCP/IP, .NET Framework and SQL

• Remediate website application software vulnerabilities (i.e. cross-site scripting) using Web Application Firewalls in accordance with PCI compliance and OWASP guidelines

• Perform IIS administration and its extensions, including but not limited to: site setup, IP bindings, URL redirects, app pool recycling, HTTP response headers, output caching, compression, request filtering, handler mappings, IPv4 restrictions, SSL certificates, virtual directories, session state persistence, web server farms, etc.

• Perform various aspects of website setup and operations including: SSL/TLS, TCP/IP, SFTP/FTP, DNS, Active Directory, internal and public IP assignment, Noting, windows server roles / features, website monitoring & alerting, performance monitoring and engineering, NTFS and directory security and load balancing

• Perform load/stress/performance testing of website applications

• Work on external domain management functions

Requirements

• 4+ years of strong technical experience in Microsoft IIS

• 2+ years of experience in Microsoft technologies

• Expert in website administration and management with deep understanding on website security

• Strong technical experience with deep understanding of complete SDLC lifecycle

• Experience in Handling release promotions (manual and automated) using IIS

Preferences

• Engineering degree or equivalent from a reputed university

• Microsoft certifications

• Exposure to BFSI domain
