Expression of Interest – Whitecliffe School of Information Technology
Whitecliffe is a leading independent tertiary institution with campuses in Auckland, Manukau, Wellington, and Christchurch, renowned for delivering innovative, industry-connected education. With the launch of a new programme in June/July 2026 and growing student numbers, we are building a pool of contractors to support the School of IT across three flexible roles to cater to various experiences or interests.

Opportunities available:
Markers (Ongoing contracts that align with term end dates): Support academic quality by marking student assessments, providing constructive written feedback, and submitting grades within agreed timeframes — all in accordance with Whitecliffe's rubrics and standards.
Short-Term Lecturers (Certificate, Bachelor's & Master's) Deliver course-specific teaching across our IT programmes, online and/or on-campus. Prepare and adapt materials to learning outcomes, engage students with industry-relevant content, and collaborate with programme teams to ensure consistent delivery.
Research Supervisors (Ongoing contracts that align with semester end dates -The next intake for PG programmes is Jul and Nov)
Guide MIT students through their applied research or practical projects in their final trimester. Provide structured feedback on research design and progress, conduct regular online check-ins, and maintain required documentation.
Across all roles, we are looking for people with:
Relevant qualification and/or significant professional experience in IT, Cyber Security, Data Science, Software and Web, AI, Cloud infrastructure or a related field
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
Experience in teaching, supervision, assessment, or professional mentoring
A collaborative, reliable approach to working remotely with programme teams
