• Taking ownership and driving impact

• Being open to change and feedback

• Being passionate about our mission and our customers.

If these values resonate with you, we’d love to explore how you can join us on this exciting journey!

About the role and team

We are looking for an experienced Minerals Expert to join the Natural History & Finds category, part of the wider Collectables Supercluster.

Your primary focus will be Mineral specimens, with additional knowledge of Fossils, Meteorites, and Archaeological Finds considered a valuable advantage. You will play a key role in strengthening the category by delivering high-quality curation, driving commercial outcomes, and expanding our global seller base and supply.

This role is ideal for someone who is:

• Commercially strong

• Independent and proactive

• A team player who contributes to shared goals

• Able to lead projects and category initiatives

• Skilled in expanding supply into new regions and network

What you’ll do

Curate high-quality, commercially attractive Minerals auctions

• Evaluate and select Mineral specimens for auction, ensuring accuracy, authenticity, and strong curation.

• Review titles, descriptions, photos, and provide realistic estimates based on market knowledge.

• Maintain high-quality standards and ensure transparency for bidders and sellers.

• Use curation decisions to maximise commercial impact and buyer engagement.

Expand supply & drive commercial growth

• Work closely with Sales and BD to recruit new Mineral sellers, reactivate inactive ones, and diversify supply.

• Leverage your network to access new geographies, miners, dealers, and collectors.

• Identify commercial opportunities such as rare specimens, mine-specific supply, or new subcategories.

• Support high-value initiatives, special auctions, and targeted seller activations.

Lead projects within the Natural History & Finds category

• Take ownership of category-wide initiatives, from supply expansion projects to auction themes.

• Collaborate with colleagues in Fossils, Meteorites, and Finds to create cross-category momentum.

• Use data and market insights to help shape category strategy alongside the Category Lead.

• Support improvements in processes, standards, and team ways of working.

Collaborate across the Collectables Supercluster

• Partner with marketing teams to highlight Minerals auctions and drive bidder traffic.

• Share knowledge with other experts and contribute to a culture of collaboration.

• Communicate professionally and constructively with sellers and internal stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

• Deep expertise in Minerals: mineralogy, specimen quality, geological contexts, rarity, and market values.

• 5+ years of professional experience in the Mineral trade as a dealer, curator, collector, academic specialist, or commercial expert.

• A strong industry network of Mineral dealers, miners, collectors, and specialist suppliers.

• Understanding of auction dynamics and online buyer behaviour.

• Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration mindset.

• Demonstrated commercial strength — seller engagement, deal-making, auction or marketplace experience.

• Ability to work independently while contributing to larger category and cluster goals.

• Strong understanding of pricing, value tiers, authenticity requirements, and best practices for online curation.

• Professional communication skills with experience resolving disputes when needed.

• Good computer literacy and comfort working in a fast-paced digital environment.

• Bonus: Knowledge of Fossils, Meteorites, or other Natural History fields.

• English required; additional languages are a plus.

Where you’ll be

This is a fully remote role within the Collectables Supercluster. You will be embedded in the Natural History & Finds category, working closely with Experts, Account Managers, BD, Marketing, and your Category Lead.
