What is Expert App & Middleware Solution Architect?

Role Overview

The App & Middleware Solution Architect is responsible for designing and governing scalable, secure, and high-performing application and middleware architectures across JazzCash platforms. This role ensures alignment of technical solutions with business objectives while enabling seamless system integration and digital innovation.

What does Expert App & Middleware Solution Architect do?

Key Responsibilities

· Define and own end-to-end application and middleware architecture strategy.

· Design scalable microservices-based and API-driven architectures.

· Design enterprise-grade solutions that support high scalability, high availability, and low-latency requirements.

· Develop High-Level Design (HLD) diagrams for multiple solution architectures.

· Assess business requirements and conduct feasibility analysis to design an optimized solution with minimal TPS consumption.

· Evaluate third parties’ platforms & technology stacks and provide evaluation report.

· Lead integration design using ESB, API Gateways, and messaging platforms.

· Establish architectural standards, governance, and best practices.

· Ensure high availability, performance optimization, and disaster recovery readiness.

· Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD, containerization, and orchestration strategies.

· Perform periodic architecture reviews and provide governance for new technical proposals.

· Ensure compliance with security, performance and regulatory requirements (SBP, PCI-DSS).

· Mentor engineering teams on architectural patterns and middleware best practices.

Requirements:
What are we looking for and what does it require to be Expert App & Middleware Solution Architect?

Required Skills & Experience

· 8+ years of experience in software engineering or architecture roles, preferably with focus on mobile App and middleware.

· Strong expertise in API design, microservices, and network systems.

· Hands-on experience with middleware technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, WSO2).

· Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

· Strong understanding of cloud-native and hybrid architectures.

· Knowledge of authentication and security frameworks (OAuth2, JWT, IAM, tokenization and data encryption).

· Experience in fintech or high-transaction environments is preferred.

· Experience with observability tools (metrics, logging, tracing) for middleware ecosystems.

Education

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.

· TOGAF or Cloud Solution Architect certifications preferred.
