Position Overview:
 

Boeing AI India team has an immediate opening for an Experienced AI-ML Engineer (GenAI) to join their team in Bangalore, KA. The selected individual will work in a team that innovates, develops & implements next generation AI/ML and engineering data analytics for aerospace applications. He/She/They will participate in projects to develop analytics solutions that helps improve aircraft performance, increase the operational efficiency of aircraft fleet operators, improve/optimize the productivity of Boeing engineering, operations & manufacturing and simulate aircraft lifecycle scenarios for potential customers. In addition, the candidate will support senior members of the team in developing future vision and direction of Boeing’s technology development in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, image/video processing, NLP, GenAI, data analytics and their application to diverse areas relevant to Boeing.

Position Responsibilities:
 

• Development of innovative, machine learning / deep learning models and analysis to provide actionable information that improves aircraft and fleet efficiency and performance and helps increase productivity of Boeing engineers.

• Applying approaches such as novel statistical and probabilistic methods, machine learning multivariate analysis, predictive analytics and deep learning techniques to diverse areas such as airplane health management, manufacturing, automation, supply chain and more in order to add value to Boeing products.

• Help in the adoption of new tools and technology, perform Proof-of-concepts and help engagements implement & take it over.

• Mentor & guide junior data scientists on their technical work and growth aspirations.

• Working closely & collaboratively with an international team comprising software development and research engineers. Develop and maintaining relationships / partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and execute on projects.

• Help in the adoption of new tools and technology, perform Proof-of-concepts and help engagements implement & take it over.

• Documenting results of research and development projects, and provide inputs for periodic updates to in the form of progress reports, project summaries, and other related documents. Tracking and evaluating performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and project requirements.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

• 8+ years of overall work experience with 6+ years in AI software development, data analytics and experience in building/deploying GenAI/LLM powered solutions.

• Hands-on experience with end-to-end ML lifecycle: data pipelines, training, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.

• Excellent presentation & communication skills: Demonstrate strong written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong research background in innovating & developing technologies & solutions thru data science & analytics.
 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Masters / Ph.D. (desired) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline from a reputed academic institution.

• Track record in performing research & development of highly innovative AI-driven solutions for difficult problems.

• Expertise in building and productizing Machine Learning/Deep Learning models.

• Hands on coding and implementation, deep understanding of machine learning, Gen AI concepts.

• Design, develop, and iterate on scalable AI/ML solutions, including a focus on Large Language Models (LLMs), agentic, information retrieval systems, and advanced ML paradigms. 

• Apply proficiency in Python / R studio to deliver clean, efficient, and production-ready code.

• Drive the MLOps lifecycle by establishing and maintaining robust pipelines.  

• Experience with containerization, model deployment, data management, and monitoring. 

• Guide teams in applying Data Science and Data Modelling techniques to drive innovation, efficiency, and automation.

• Ensure timely deployment of models in a production environment.

• ML experience with synthetic data generation / domain adaptation / self-supervised learning.

• Solid software engineering practices: unit/integration testing, CI/CD, version control, and traceability to requirements.

• Demonstrated capability to apply advanced visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI.

• Be a self-starter who is not afraid to pro-actively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work.

• Be self-motivated and able to work independently with a positive attitude and highest ethics.

• Must be willing to work flexible hours (early or late as needed) to interface with Boeing personnel around the world.

Typical Education & Experience:

• Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Masters) and typically 8 Plus years' related work experience or PHD Degree with 6+ years of experience with an equivalent combination of education and experience
