Experienced Employee Development Specialist

The Boeing Company’s Production System Training (PST) organization is currently seeking an Experienced Employee Development Specialist to join their group in Salt Lake City/West Jordan, UT.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in Fabrication, Assembly, Composites and/or Quality Systems who has a passion for training the next generation of skilled workers. This position supports our internal New Hire Onboarding program and foundational skills instruction.
Position Responsibilities:
• Conducts learning requirements analysis and establishes learning objectives
• Delivers content and assesses effectiveness based on learning objectives
• Conducts coaching sessions to improve individual or group performance
• Performs as an instructor in a specialized content area from one or more of the following areas of Aerospace Skills expertise: Electrical, Structural, Quality, Systems, etc
• Facilitates learning events and knowledge transfer by teaching and team coaching, observing and tracking student performance, adding key insights to enhance the delivery, conduct preparation, delivery and rostering of training to satisfy training requirement
• Conducts training utilizing a variety of delivery methods and techniques, and customizes learning programs, courses, presentations and guides
• Emphasizes safety precautions to be taken in all training provided
• Maintains a positive and productive learning environment, and addresses any problem behaviors in the classroom promptly in accordance with policies
• Performs individual and group assessments, and recommends process and performance improvements
• Conducts Train-the-Trainer Sessions to qualify additional instructors
• Understands regulations and standards, ensures delivery of courseware complies with commercial, government, regulatory and organizational standards and specifications
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• 3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing support
• Experience in coaching, instructing or as an employee development specialist
• Experience working with detailed work instructions or reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings
Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
• Aerospace Manufacturing and Lean Certification(s)
• Experience designing and employing leadership development courseware and/or curriculum
• Experience with Structural, Electrical, Repair, Functional Test, Seal, Systems, etc
• Experience as a mechanic working with structural, mechanical, electrical, or other systems
• Experience in the following areas: Electrician/Structure/Wing/Spar Assembly, Needs Assessment and Job Analysis
• Use of chemicals possible in deliver off courses

Summary pay range: $85,000 - $115,000
