Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is currently seeking an Experienced Contract Management Specialist to support the Strategic Missile and Defense Systems (SMDS): Strategic Deterrence Systems (SDS) portfolio in Heath, Ohio.
Boeing's SMDS organization helps protect and deter attacks to our nation, warfighters, and allies worldwide. Some of the key programs within SMDS include: the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) system – the land-based leg of the U.S. nuclear triad. Boeing completes repairs of key ICBM components at its Heath, Ohio facility where this role is based at. This position is expected to be onsite full-time.
Position Responsibilities:
• Exercise appropriate signature authority and participates in negotiating and contracting for the sale and support of aerospace products, services, technologies, financing and the licensing of intellectual property to support company strategies
• Represent the company in external negotiations to a diverse set of customers
• Prepare, negotiate, execute, interpret and administer legally binding contractual agreements of a complex nature for The Boeing Company
• Conduct coordination and partnership with other internal functional disciplines
• Summarize complex contractual issues and leads development of creative solutions and coordination of contractual risk mitigation
• Balance priorities across multiple programs at the site and to ensure stakeholders have prompt communications as priorities evolve
• Submit offers and contractually commit the company within the extend of delegated authority
• Review Statements of Work, terms and conditions, cost estimates and the determination of profit or earnings objectives
• Support to emerging programs/campaigns and proposals
• Review and agreements with outside parties
• Perform and contractual risk assessments to balance risk and opportunities
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• 3+ years of experience building, developing and maintaining customer relationships
• 3+ years of experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience in defense contracting and terms and conditions
• Experience working in a matrix organization
• Experience working under supervision and independently
• Experience in identifying and implementing improvement initiatives
• Experience in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, and able to multi-task and manage expectations

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $90,100 – $121,900
