Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a well established heavy civil construction company specializing in drilling & blasting, mass excavation, pipe and underground utilities, concrete placement and asphalt paving. Our team has had tremendous growth in the past several years, and we are excited to keep expanding. We are currently looking to hire an experienced Construction Surveyor to join our growing team in the HRM.
Requirements
Minimum 3-5 years of surveying experience, preferably with Trimble Equipment, or equivalent education.
Diploma in Geomatics Engineering Technology and/or Survey Technician, or equivalent field training.
Must have a valid class 5 Drivers License and an acceptable Drivers Abstract.
Proficiency with Robotic Total Station as well as GNSS survey equipment is required.
Previous experience using CAD (Carlson) and Trimble Access considered an asset.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Consistently work in a safe & efficient manner.
Work well in a team environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide control lines and elevations required for accurate measurements and correct installation of materials.
Collect data using GPS/Total station ensuring quality control at all times.
Coordinate with co-workers and management to ensure the proper requirements are being met.
Maintain company equipment.
Perform all work in a safe and secure manner.
Other duties as required.
