Our team enables a full spectrum of graphics products – from high-end discrete cards used in data centers for AI training and High Performance Compute, through consumer products targeting productivity and edge devices used for image translation and AI inference, down to integrated graphics in laptops and desktops around the world powering the client AI revolution.
We are looking for a Software Engineer eager to learn new things and ways of working to join us. As a member of the Graphics Software Engineering organization you will work on the newest technologies associated with Intel graphics. Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
• Gaining and continuously extending in-depth knowledge of Intel graphics architecture and features as well as demonstrating it in day-to-day activities
• Using a structured approach in designing, developing, and testing graphics system-level software and tools
• Working with various partners to enhance and improve graphics performance on upcoming processor graphics devices by analyzing performance issues in software drivers and applications, implementing software performance improvements, and recommending future hardware and software improvements
• Ensuring our hardware and software will function and perform as expected
• Root-causing and resolving issues
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
• Master's or Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Proficient in C/C++ and scripting languages
• 5+ years of experience in commercial C++ software projects
• 2+ years of experience with OpenCL and Level Zero APIs
• Skilled in resolving complex technical issues
• Experienced with software revision control, debugging, logging, and tracing tools
• Familiar with Windows and Linux, including application and driver development
• Quick learner, strong English communication skills
Nice to have:
• Deep knowledge of 3D graphics and GPGPU APIs (OneAPI DPC++, CUDA, Direct3D, Vulkan, OpenGL/ES)
Open-source development for Linux with proven contributions
• Hardware simulation/emulation/virtualization experience
• Performance analysis and optimization skills
• Low-level programming and hardware expertise
• Understanding OS internals
• Open-source development for Linux and contributions
• Test-driven development experience

The Software Team drives customer value by enabling differentiated experiences through leadership AI technologies and foundational software stacks, products, and services. The group is responsible for developing the holistic strategy for client and data center software in collaboration with OSVs, ISVs, developers, partners and OEMs. The group delivers specialized NPU IP to enable the AI PC and GPU IP to support all of Intel's market segments. The group also has HW and SW engineering experts responsible for delivering IP, SOCs, runtimes, and platforms to support the CPU and GPU/accelerator roadmap, inclusive of integrated and discrete graphics.
