A DAY IN A LIFE

As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist the end-to-end execution of the day-to-day finance operations of the Company for accounts payable, cash flow and other finance-related transactions
• Ensure all trade and non-trade invoices are booked in accordance with the company’s SOP, followed by timely payments and proper AP ledger housekeeping
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls
• Support in addressing supplier queries, disputes, payment issues, and ad-hoc local requests when required
• Prepare weekly payment schedule and coordinate with Treasury on manual reserves and fund allocation for weekly and ad-hoc payments
• Ensure proper documentation for payment approvals
• Liaising and working closely with auditors, local finance and other stakeholders to ensure smooth process
• Assist and support in strengthening and improving accounts payable internal control and processes
• All other ad hoc work assigned as required from time to time

• Over communicate, particularly as they are all quite autonomous

Requirements:
Desired Skills & Experience

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance or Professional Accountancy Qualification (eg ACCA/CPA Australia/MICPA)
• Problem solver and good in time management
• Ability to work under pressure & work in a tight timeline given
• Ability to work as a team with a collaborative management style
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Oracle
