Job Summary
The Executive Director position is responsible for overseeing our CCRC at our Ephrata Campus (Independent Living, Personal Care, & Skilled Nursing). This individual's responsibilities include overseeing, facilitating, and directing the operations of the campus in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern long-term care facilities. This professional will promote effective working relationships among all disciplines so that individualized quality, compassionate resident care is delivered in a comprehensive, coordinated fashion within the financial framework and overall objectives as established by the United Church of Christ Homes.
Responsibilities
Ensure the development, administration, interpretation and coordination of SNF/PCH policies and procedures, reviewing and revising annually as necessary.
Serve as spokesperson and chief participant in surveys performed by authorized government agencies, developing plans of correction as required.
Work closely with department heads to eliminate or correct problem areas, and/or for the improvement of services.
Prepare annual income and expense budget for the campus, including operating, capital, man-hour and occupancy budgets. This budget shall provide for adequate programming and services for the SNF. PCH, and IL communities.
Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the COO/VP of Operations concerning the operation of the facility.
Assist with the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of competent personnel.
Coach staff members on how to problem solve, including how to analyze causes and contributing factors.
Requirements
Valid PA Nursing Home Administrator license
At least three years of proven NHA leadership experience within a long-term care setting.
Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial management principles.
Excellent supervisory skills with a focus on team building and staff development.
Operational management skills with an emphasis on quality assurance and compliance.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to demonstrate compassion, empathy, and respect for residents' dignity at all times.
