Position Overview: The Excavator Operator will be responsible for safely operating excavators and related heavy equipment to perform excavation, soil remediation, construction, and waste management activities at post-collection facilities or specified job sites. This role requires precision, efficiency, and strict adherence to safety standards.

Key Functions & Duties:

Operate excavators and related heavy equipment in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.

Perform routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance, maintaining accurate records.

Excavate, move, and position soil, debris, and other materials according to project specifications.

Follow standard operating procedures for the safe operation and maintenance of equipment.

Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.

Travel and relocate between job sites as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Minimum of 5 years of experience operating excavators and other heavy equipment

Valid driver’s license

Knowledge of excavation, soil remediation, and construction equipment operation

Strong understanding of environmental and health & safety regulations

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds as needed

Must complete pre-employment testing

Prior experience working around heavy construction equipment is an asset

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
