Event Production Assistant and Event Manager Role: Part Time
Position Overview:
The Part-Time hybrid role supports the planning and execution of events by working in the office to ensure all signage and event materials are created for each event. This role plays an essential part in preparing event binders and digital welcome signs, designing and printing menus and food labels, and coordinating information across platforms. This role also coordinates and supervises the execution of special party, banquet and event functions to ensure that customer requirements and specs are adhered to and that functions run smoothly, efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Production Assistant -
Create an event binder with pertinent information concerning the event, including but not limited to, number attending, schedule of events and menu.
Creating digital welcome signs, designing and printing menus and food labels.
Coordinating information across various platforms like: Slack, Google Workspace, Asana, Canva, and Total Party Planner.
Event Manager -
Lead and supervise FOH staff during events to ensure smooth, high-quality service.
Act as the primary on-site liaison between event coordinators, kitchen staff, and service team.
Oversee event setup, service flow, and breakdown to ensure timelines and standards are met.
Deliver exceptional guest service and address guest needs or concerns promptly and professionally.
Assign tasks, provide direction, and motivate team members throughout the event.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of all event areas before, during, and after service.
Monitor inventory, restocking, and proper handling of food, beverages, glassware, and equipment.
Ensure all service aligns with Domenico Catering & Events standards and client expectations
Qualifications:
Strong Communication Skills
Highly Organized & Detail-Oriented
Technical Proficiency
Team-Oriented Mindset
Have knowledge of service and food and beverage, generally involving at least four years of front-of-the-house restaurant experience and/or banquet/event positions.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
Be able to reach, bend, stoop and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
