Position: ETL Testing Engineer

Location: Remote

Experience: 3-6 years

We are seeking a skilled ETL Testing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for validating the ETL processes and ensuring that data is accurately extracted, transformed, and loaded from various sources to data warehouses. You will work closely with data analysts and developers to verify data quality and integrity throughout the ETL cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test cases for ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Understand data mapping documents and validate transformations from source to target systems.
• Perform data profiling and data quality checks to identify discrepancies and data issues.
• Develop and maintain ETL test plans, test data, and automated test scripts.
• Collaborate with development and business teams to gather testing requirements and define acceptance criteria.
• Document and report defects and manage the defect lifecycle in a bug tracking tool.
• Participate in requirement reviews, system design discussions, and overall project planning.

Requirements:
Key Requirements:

• 5-8 years of experience in ETL Testing with a strong understanding of ETL tools and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience in testing data extraction, transformation, and loading processes using tools like Informatica, Talend, or similar.
• Strong SQL skills for querying databases and validating data.
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts and data quality metrics.
• Experience with automation tools for ETL testing is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess data quality issues.
• Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
