Responsibilities
• Pricing and trading both leveraged and unleveraged ETFs across Japan and Hong Kong
• Monitoring ETF fair value, tracking errors, and arbitrage opportunities across primary and secondary markets
• Developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and monitoring systems to track performance, risk, and operational health
• Managing ETF lifecycle events including index rebalances, corporate actions, and dividend adjustments
• Collaborating with quantitative researchers to enhance and scale existing trading strategies
• Continuously analyzing market structure, liquidity dynamics, and venue-specific nuances to improve execution quality
Requirements
• A bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in a quantitative or technical discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience trading ETFs in Japan and Hong Kong
• Strong understanding of ETF mechanics, including primary/secondary market interactions, creation/redemption processes, and arbitrage dynamics
• Solid knowledge of index methodologies (e.g., rebalancing, constituent changes) and corporate actions (e.g., dividends, splits)
• Deep understanding of market microstructure and regional trading nuances across APAC exchanges
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high degree of ownership and accountability
• Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and capable of quickly learning and adapting in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with traders, quants, and engineers
• Experience with scripting and programming languages such as Python, SQL, Bash
Nice to Have
• Business-level Japanese proficiency is preferred
