We are the experts in the industry and together we have decades of experience in software architecture, embedded development, agile methodologies, and test-driven development. Alongside our parent company Robert Bosch, we share the values of a better world for everyone and our common mission - Invented for Life.

Join an established documentation team at ETAS, a world leader in automotive software. Our team's shared goal is to develop and deliver world-class documentation and user-focused resources for our AUTOSAR Classic development tools, which are used by automotive engineers globally.

This is more than just a documentation role. We are looking for an individual passionate about the intersection of technical writing and User Experience (UX). You will not only create clear, concise content but also champion the user's needs, ensuring our resources are intuitive, accessible, and genuinely helpful.

We follow an end-to-end process for developing our materials, embracing industry-leading Design Sprint methodologies and Agile working practices. You will be given real-world tasks and responsibility for your own deliverables, with the full support and mentorship of a collaborative team.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

• Create, review, and refine technical documentation for our AUTOSAR software portfolio.

• Transform complex technical information from software developers and engineers into clear, easy-to-understand content for our end-users.

• Manage documentation in a version control system (e.g., Git).

• Conduct usability testing on our documentation with end-users to gather feedback and drive improvements.

• Assist in developing the information architecture for our documentation portal, ensuring content is logically structured and easy to find.

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary product development team (software engineers, testers, and product managers) to ensure objectives are met.

• Communicate complex ideas and solutions clearly using the appropriate tools.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

• Currently studying for a degree in a relevant discipline such as Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, Engineering, or User Experience/HCI.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

• A natural and enthusiastic problem-solver.

• A willingness to learn new and complex technologies within the automotive software domain.

• Comfortable working as part of an international, multi-cultural team.

• Ability to manage and prioritise your work effectively.

• The ability to think clearly using logic and reasoning.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with a plaintext markup language like reStructuredText (rST) or Markdown.

• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.

• An interest in or exposure to automotive technology, embedded systems, or the AUTOSAR standard.
