We’re expanding our team and hiring Estimators at multiple levels (from entry-level to senior). Whether you’re just starting your career or a seasoned professional, this is your chance to grow with a

What You’ll Do

Depending on your experience level, Estimators at Felix will:

Assist in or lead the preparation of bids from design through final closeout

Review project ads, plans, specs, and addenda

Perform detailed take-offs for civil, structural, and mechanical scopes

Solicit pricing and build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers

Support or lead internal bid reviews

Develop scope narratives, clarifications, and RFI logs

Contribute to historical cost tracking and database management

Collaborate with engineers, owners, consultants, and field operations

Provide change order pricing and support handoff to operations

Estimator Career Path at Felix

Estimator I (Entry-Level)

1–3 years of construction experience (internships count!)

Strong math, Excel, and communication skills

Ability to read and interpret plans/specs

Degree in CM or Engineering preferred, but not required

Water/wastewater interest is a plus

Estimator II (Mid-Career)

3–7 years in heavy civil or industrial estimating

Experience with scopes like concrete, piping, and site civil

Proficient with bid software, P&IDs, and isometric drawings

Can take ownership of scopes and lead subcontractor outreach

Field/project engineering background a plus

Senior Estimator

10+ years in construction estimating (water/wastewater focus preferred)

Skilled with hard bid, design-build, CMAR, and JOC delivery methods

Broad technical knowledge across multiple trades

Proven ability to mentor and lead bid teams

Comfortable engaging directly with clients, engineers, and partners
