Estimator & Warehouse Coordinator
Position Summary
The Estimator & Warehouse Coordinator is a dual-function role responsible for supporting both the sales and operations functions of Canada West Garage Doors. Reporting to the Branch Manager, this position combines estimating and quotation preparation with warehouse coordination, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, timely quotes for customers while maintaining efficient warehouse operations, supporting inbound and outbound logistics, and ensuring materials are available to meet project and sales requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Quotation Support
Prepare accurate and timely quotes for residential and commercial garage door products, components, and accessories
Review customer inquiries, drawings, specifications, and take-offs (where applicable)
Source pricing from suppliers and internal systems
Ensure quotes reflect correct product selection, sizing, and configuration
Work closely with sales representatives to support bid submissions and customer requests
Track and follow up on outstanding quotations
Order Processing & Coordination
Convert accepted quotes into sales orders
Verify product availability, lead times, and delivery requirements
Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely fulfillment
Maintain accurate documentation and order records
Warehouse & Inventory Coordination
Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and condition
Organize and maintain warehouse inventory in a clean and efficient manner
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment or customer pickup
Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliations
Monitor stock levels and notify management of reorder requirements
Ensure proper handling and storage of materials and products
Logistics & Shipping
Coordinate outbound shipments, including scheduling freight and preparing shipping documentation
Assist customers and installers with order pickups
Ensure orders are complete and accurate prior to release
Customer Service & Communication
Provide professional and timely communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
Assist with product inquiries, order status updates, and basic technical support
Support walk-in customers at the distribution centre as required
Health, Safety & Organization
Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Assist in maintaining tools, equipment, and general warehouse standards
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in estimating, order coordination, warehouse operations, or a similar role
Experience in building products, construction materials, or overhead/garage doors is an asset
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to read basic drawings and specifications (preferred)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency with computers and software packages (Excel, QuickBooks experience an asset)
Valid driver’s license and clean abstract required
Working Conditions
Combination of office and warehouse environment
Physical activity required, including lifting up to 50 lbs, moving, and handling materials
Fast-paced environment with changing priorities
