About the Position:
Reporting to the Estimating Manager, Estimator responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Reviewing blueprints, specifications, and commercial documents to understand project scope of work.
Completing full quantity take-off of all labour, equipment and materials required to complete the project to ensure accuracy of pricing.
Soliciting competitive pricing from steel providers, vendors, and suppliers.
Calculating manhours and costs required for all associated project work.
Working closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure estimates align with company metrics and project timelines.
Supporting Sales and Project Management teams with project execution.
Staying updated on industry trends, material costs, and new technologies to provide accurate and competitive estimates.
Contributing to process improvement in the estimating department.

Position Requirements:
Post-Secondary degree or diploma in engineering, construction technology or equivalent technical field required.
3 or more years of estimating/project management experience in the steel fabrication/construction industry.
Experience with construction software (e.g., Bluebeam, Tekla, AutoCAD) and Microsoft Excel.
Experience with complex estimating concepts, practices and procedures including conceptual estimating, cost analysis, mathematical skills, and project design scopes.
Compensation Package:
Salary: $65,000-$88,000/Year
