We are looking for a Sales Estimator to drive new business and support estimating efforts for scaffolding and access system projects. This role is responsible for generating leads, building client relationships, and developing accurate project estimates to win work. The position combines business development with technical estimating, supporting industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. This is a strong fit for someone who understands construction scopes and can translate project requirements into competitive proposals.
Responsibilities
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within industrial, commercial, and construction markets
• Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, project managers, and decision-makers
• Perform site visits to assess project scope, access requirements, and installation needs
• Prepare detailed estimates, takeoffs, and proposals for scaffolding and access systems
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate pricing
• Coordinate with operations and field teams to align estimates with execution capabilities
• Track bids, follow up with clients, and support contract negotiations
• Maintain pipeline activity, sales forecasts, and client communication records
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project handoff upon award
• Stay informed on market trends, pricing, and competitive positioning
Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in construction estimating, sales, or business development
• Experience in scaffolding, access systems, industrial services, or related construction fields preferred
• Ability to read construction drawings, plans, and specifications
• Strong understanding of project costing, takeoffs, and bid preparation
• Proven ability to generate leads and close new business
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple bids and opportunities
• Proficiency with estimating software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office tools
