Estimator/Project Manager

Overview:

RA Holdings Group is looking for an Estimator/Project to work in our growing Richmond, VA market. Must be able to work in an office environment to perform computer-based, electronic material take-offs and cost estimates for demolition, abatement, and asbestos projects. Use project drawings, specifications, scopes of work to estimate quantities, apply unit pricing for material & labor for entire scope in compliance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Understand scope of work to be bid.

Maintain accurate pricing from all suppliers.

Use estimating software to generate take-offs and estimates.

Manage electronic work products effectively.

Ensure estimates are completed and provided to customers on time.

Perform quality control of cost estimates.

Develop relationships with customers and fellow estimators to promote collaboration.

Evaluate job costs and historical estimates to focus on constant improvement.

Maintain positive attitude.

Be on-time and accountable for work.

Work efficiently and accurately.

Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

Prior estimating experience coming from the demolition, abatement, and asbestos industry is highly desired.

Able to read/interpret construction documents and develop cost estimates.

High proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat.

Prior experience with estimating software highly desired (Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.).
