Job Description
About Us
GoMaterials is one of Canada's fastest-growing companies, recognized by Deloitte, the Globe & Mail, and the Lazaridis Scaleup Program. We’re revolutionizing how landscape contractors source plant and hardscape materials through a B2B marketplace that simplifies procurement in a traditionally outdated industry.
Since our inception, we have helped landscapers save time, money, and stress and plant over 1.5 million plants and trees. Led by a young and eager group of entrepreneurs, GoMaterials is aggressively expanding across North America. We are therefore looking for amazing people to add to our team!
About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, self-driven Estimator to join our fast-paced Operations team. In this role, you’ll own the end-to-end execution of quotes across the US and Canada—delivering accurate, timely, and competitive estimates that meet our Gold Standard for quality, speed, and value.
You’ll collaborate closely with senior estimators and team leads while taking full ownership of your performance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment and wants to grow quickly in a results-driven company.
What You’ll Do
• Execute a high volume of quotes across the US and Canada with speed and precision
• Deliver estimates that meet our Gold Standard for accuracy, turnaround time, and competitive pricing
• Approach each quote with a solution-oriented mindset, balancing customer needs with profitability
• Follow established QA processes and workflows, while proactively identifying and flagging gaps or inefficiencies
• Communicate clearly and proactively with team leads and senior estimators, escalating issues early
• Consistently meet service level targets and KPIs in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Support senior team members on additional tasks and contribute to overall team performance
What You’ll Bring
• 1–3 years of experience in estimating, quoting, operations, or procurement (internship experience welcome)
• Familiarity with estimating tools, quoting platforms, or ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with sound judgment on when to escalate
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities without sacrificing quality
• High level of ownership, drive, and consistency under pressure
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Fluency in English
Nice to Have
• Diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
• Experience with cross-border (US/Canada) pricing or procurement
• Exposure to value engineering or cost optimization initiatives
• Background in landscaping, horticulture, or wholesale plant materials
