Taurus Power and Controls - a Pacific Northern Environmental LLC Company, is seeking an instrumentation and Control system (I&C) Estimator who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment and has the ability to provide exceptional service to our company, clients, and employees.
Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC consists of five divisions including Advanced Electrical Technologies (AET), Taurus Power and Controls (Taurus), Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), Pacific Northern Environmental Construction (PNEC), and WasteXpress Environmental (WXE). Together, we specialize in commercial and petroleum construction, industrial and commercial electrical, industrial cleaning, and hazardous waste disposal. PNE LLC is a multi-state organization with operating offices in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Hawaii. In addition, we carry out projects across the United States.
Since 1985, Taurus has been designing control systems, automating tasks, and fabricating control panels for industrial, municipal, and commercial customers-on time and on budget. Taurus is a NETA Accredited Company that offers full-service, third party, independent testing for all electrically powered systems and equipment. Being a 24/7 field service company remains at the core of what we do. We have expertise in a wide array of systems and industries, whether it’s servicing projects we developed, or systems built by others.
The I&C Estimator works closely with the Sales Team to provide estimates. They Evaluate specifications and schematics and collect and analyze quotes from suppliers and subcontractors during the bidding process to obtain the complete bid package pricing and qualification information. It is also their job to generate costs estimates and identify possible deficiencies in bid documents during the pre-bid process. They ensure that the bids process is going smoothly and that it will be finished on time. They also must work on several different projects at once, so it is important to be able to multitask.
Education and Experience Qualifications
Associates Degree or Relevant experience
Experience in Control System troubleshooting,
Design, or Estimating.
Skills:
Experience with estimating software, MS office products, and Salesforce (or other CRM’s)
Understanding of Industrial Controls, PLC’s, SCADA and electrical systems
Ability to multitask
Critical attention to detail
Complete Tasks within deadline periods
Duties and Responsibilities
Examine proposals, Schematics, and specifications to determine the type and amount of work needed for a project.
Prepare Bid Scope Letters.
Enter and update necessary details into CRM
Confer with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, and use local expertise to estimate costs.

The candidate must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions:
Must be able to remain stationary at sitting or standing desk
Must be able to consistently operate a computer and office machinery
Ability to communicate information so others understand
Move about the jobsite as needed if jobsites require a visit.
Remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
Operate various technological devices, including but not limited to a computer.
