• Prepare detailed cost estimates for all mechanical systems, including:• Chillers and cooling plants
• CRAC/CRAH units
• Chilled water systems
• HVAC ducting and ventilation
• Fuel systems
• Fire protection systems
• Pumps, piping networks, and mechanical auxiliaries
• Support cost estimates at Concept, SD, DD, and IFC design stages.
• Provide benchmarking based on regional data center and industrial project costs.
• Conduct or oversee detailed QTOs from specifications, drawings, and BIM models.
• Validate mechanical BOQs submitted by contractors.
• Review design documents to identify scope gaps, missing quantities, and discrepancies affecting cost.
• Maintain updated databases for:• Mechanical equipment pricing
• Material costs (piping, ducting, insulation, supports, valves)
• Labor productivity and installation rates specific to the Philippines
• Track market trends influencing mechanical works such as steel, copper, refrigerants, and equipment lead times.
• Prepare mechanical tender documents, pricing sheets, and clarifications.
• Evaluate contractor bids through:• Technical-compliance checks
• Bid leveling
• Cost breakdown analysis
• Value‑engineering options
• Provide recommendations to project leadership for award decisions.
• Assess cost impacts of design updates, RFIs, and scope changes.
• Support the commercial team with verification of variation claims.
• Work with project controls on budget alignment and cost forecasting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• 8–12 years of estimating experience with a focus on mechanical systems.
• Strong background in:• Data centers
• Industrial facilities
• Commercial or high-tech MEP projects
• Experience with PMC, EPC, or general contractor organizations is a strong advantage.
• Deep understanding of cooling systems, HVAC design, fire protection, plumbing, and data center mechanical infrastructure.
• Proficiency in estimating tools (CostX, Candy, Excel) and BIM‑based quantities.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with high accuracy.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
