• Prepare detailed cost estimates for all electrical systems, including:• Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) power systems
• Generators and emergency power systems
• UPS systems and battery storage
• Switchgear, transformers, busways, and panel boards
• Lighting systems and small power
• Earthing and lightning protection
• ICT infrastructure (raceways, cable trays, backbone pathways)
• Produce estimates for Concept, SD, DD, and IFC stage submissions.
• Benchmark estimates against regional data center or comparable industrial facilities.
• Conduct or supervise detailed electrical QTOs using drawings, BIM models, and specifications.
• Validate contractor-submitted BOQs and identify discrepancies or scope gaps.
• Review system design documents to understand impacts on cost and constructability.
• Maintain updated databases for:• Electrical equipment pricing (UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers, etc.)
• Copper cable pricing and related commodities affected by global market changes
• Labor rates and installation productivity norms in the Philippines
• Monitor trends affecting electrical procurement, including long-lead items and supply chain risks.
• Prepare electrical tender instructions, pricing sheets, and clarifications.
• Participate in tender evaluation through:• Bid leveling
• Technical compliance checks
• Detailed cost breakdown reviews
• Value engineering opportunities
• Provide recommendations for contractor selection based on commercial and technical criteria.
• Assess cost impacts of design revisions, RFI responses, and scope changes.
• Support verification of contractor variation claims.
• Coordinate with commercial and project controls teams to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or similar discipline.
• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in cost estimating for electrical systems.
• Experience in:• Data centers (preferred)
• Industrial plants / factories
• Commercial or mission-critical MEP projects
• Background working with PMC, EPC, or general contractor organizations.
• Proficiency in estimating software (CostX, Candy, Excel) and QTO tools.
• Strong analytical and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
