Job Description

Salary: $100,000 - 125,000/year

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects, with a focus on ground-up builds and tenant fit-outs (TI). The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial construction projects

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates

• Develop budgets for ground-up and tenant improvement (TI) projects

• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids

• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors

• Identify potential cost risks and value engineering opportunities

• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and clients during preconstruction

• Assist in bid preparation, proposal development, and scope clarification

• Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and historical cost data

• Participate in project handoff meetings to operations teams

Requirements:
• 3–7+ years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor

• Proven experience with ground-up and tenant fit-out projects

• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems

• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating, or similar)

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

• Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills

• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
