ES&H Subcontractor Technical Representative

Position Overview

Under limited supervision, serves as the field interface with subcontractors performing work onsite. Responsible for daily oversight of subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with DOE regulatory, and contractual requirements. Provides technical direction within the scope of assigned subcontracts, monitors safety practices, and documents field activities to support project objectives. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities to support the organization in one or more of the following functional areas.

Functional:

Ensures prerequisite actions are completed prior to subcontractor arrival at site.

Confirms subcontractor training is current prior to and throughout performance of work.

Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals and resolves comments.

Maintains documented records of daily field activities.

Interfaces with Contract Administrator to support subcontract oversight and closeout.

Provides technical direction within scope of subcontract requirements.

Serves as primary point of contact for subcontractor technical activities.

Reviews and approves subcontractor invoices.

Conducts daily pre-job and post-job briefings.

Provides oversight to ensure subcontractors comply with procedures, regulations, and safety requirements.

Other job-related duties as assigned.

Applies DOE, OSHA, and site-specific safety and compliance requirements in daily oversight.

Exhibits strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate documentation of activities.

Communicates effectively with subcontractors, supervisors, and internal stakeholders.

Demonstrates attention to detail in subcontractor oversight, invoice review, and compliance checks.

Utilizes PC applications including Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.

Exhibits sound judgment in providing technical direction and resolving issues in the field.

Minimum Requirements:

BS degree in a related field

1+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Field experiences managing subcontractors preferred.
