Position Overview
If you enjoy taking things apart, figuring out what’s wrong, and putting them back together better than before, this job is for you. We’re looking for an Technician to join our service department.
You’ll be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and completing regular maintenance on a wide range of outdoor power equipment—zero-turn mowers, lawn tractors, handheld units, generators, and more. The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, and takes pride in a job well done.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair 2-stroke & 4-stroke engines, electrical issues, hydraulic components, and fuel-related problems.
Complete routine services such as tune-ups, oil changes, belts, blades, filters, and adjustments.
Identify equipment concerns accurately and recommend needed repairs.
Document repair notes, labor time, and parts used on work orders.
Keep open communication with service writers or customers regarding repair status.
Perform operational checks and test runs to verify equipment is functioning properly.
Qualifications
2+ years of mechanical or small engine repair experience preferred (training available).
Understanding of outdoor power equipment and basic mechanical/electrical systems.
Ability to read diagrams, service manuals, and technical instructions.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
Able to lift 50+ lbs and manage physical repair tasks.
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
Familiarity with Hustler, Exmark, Scag, Grasshopper, STIHL, Echo, Briggs, Kawasaki, Kohler, etc.
Welding or light fabrication skills.
Hydraulic system knowledge.
Prior dealership or service shop experience.
Schedule & Pay
Full-time role
Competitive pay based on experience (hourly + commission)
Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays during peak season
