The Equipment Operator will operate heavy machinery for construction, demolition, and/or excavation projects. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our construction sites located in our Southeast Region, in/near Raleigh, North Carolina.
Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities
Identify and promptly address construction hazards, adhering to all safe operating practices to ensure a secure work environment.
Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
Proficiently operate a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to: dozers, excavators, rollers, loaders, CTLs, skid steer, scrapers, and haul trucks.
Safely control traffic near, in, or around work zones to safeguard workers and the public.
Collaborate effectively within a team while also demonstrating the ability to work independently.
Other tasks as assigned.
Skills & Requirements
Ability to identify and address unsafe conditions promptly.
Must be able to pass a drug screening.
Exhibit a high level of dependability, ensuring consistent attendance and punctuality.
Maintain a safe working environment, working steadily to produce quality results.
Ability to adapt to flexible work schedule, including overtime and weekend work as needed.
Ability to work outdoors in various environmental conditions doing strenuous physical activity.
Education & Experience
At least one year of construction experience preferred.

The workplace is an outdoor construction project site with possible exposure to extreme weather conditions, dust, pollen, insects, and chemicals. The employee may be exposed to concrete dusty inclement weather conditions, extreme heat, noise, vibrations, and a variety of petroleum products.
