Job Description & Summary
At PwC, our people in business application consulting specialise in consulting services for a variety of business applications, helping clients optimise operational efficiency. These individuals analyse client needs, implement software solutions, and provide training and support for seamless integration and utilisation of business applications, enabling clients to achieve their strategic objectives.
In Oracle enterprise performance management at PwC, you will specialise in providing consulting services for enterprise performance management solutions using Oracle technologies. You will collaborate with clients to assess their performance management needs, design and implement Oracle-based solutions for budgeting, forecasting, financial consolidation, and reporting. Working in this area, you will also provide training and support for seamless integration and utilisation of Oracle enterprise performance management tools, helping clients improve their financial planning and analysis processes and achieve their performance objectives.
Focused on relationships, you are building meaningful client connections, and learning how to manage and inspire others. Navigating increasingly complex situations, you are growing your personal brand, deepening technical expertise and awareness of your strengths. You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, and to deliver quality. Embracing increased ambiguity, you are comfortable when the path forward isn’t clear, you ask questions, and you use these moments as opportunities to grow.
Examples of the skills, knowledge, and experiences you need to lead and deliver value at this level include but are not limited to:
• Respond effectively to the diverse perspectives, needs, and feelings of others.
• Use a broad range of tools, methodologies and techniques to generate new ideas and solve problems.
• Use critical thinking to break down complex concepts.
• Understand the broader objectives of your project or role and how your work fits into the overall strategy.
• Develop a deeper understanding of the business context and how it is changing.
• Use reflection to develop self awareness, enhance strengths and address development areas.
• Interpret data to inform insights and recommendations.
• Uphold and reinforce professional and technical standards (e.g. refer to specific PwC tax and audit guidance), the Firm's code of conduct, and independence requirements.
About PwC and the role:
PwC has recently launched the South African Technology & Innovation Centre (SATIC), designed to innovate, build, and deploy solutions for our global clients across a range of technology and transformational needs.
An EPM FP&A Consultant at PwC SATIC supports global clients in designing and delivering enterprise performance management solutions that enhance planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The role combines strong finance and FP&A expertise with EPM technologies to translate business requirements into scalable models, improve decision making, and enable efficient, insight driven finance functions as part of integrated UK–SATIC delivery teams.
Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our team as a key driver in our Workday Adaptive Planning implementation. If you have a foundation in FP&A or experience with other EPM tools (like Anaplan, Hyperion, or Planful) and are eager to become a Workday Adaptive expert, this is your next step.
You will be at the forefront of our finance transformation. We provide the resources and mentorship to help you transition your existing finance knowledge into a specialised technical skillset that is in high demand globally.
Qualifications/Certifications required:
• Technical Literacy: Hands-on experience with an EPM/CPM tool (Anaplan, OneStream, Host Analytics/Planful, IBM TM1, etc.) OR heavy experience as an FP&A end-user.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Soft Skills: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical finance partners.
Experience required:
• 3–5 years in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Financial Systems Consulting.
Responsibilities of the role:
• Model Building & Implementation: Partner with finance stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable Adaptive models (Workforce, OpEx, Revenue).
• Data Integration: Assist in mapping and loading data from our ERP and HCM systems into Adaptive.
• Process Optimisation: Identify manual Excel-based processes and automate them within the platform to improve reporting speed and accuracy.
• User Enablement: Act as the "go-to" expert for internal end-users, creating training documentation and ensuring high adoption across the finance org.
• Continuous Improvement: Post-implementation, you will lead the rollout of new features, dashboards, and Office Connect reporting suites.
Desirable skill sets include:
• The FP&A Pro: You understand income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow. You know how a budget is built because you’ve done it before.
• Systems-Minded: You may not know Adaptive yet, but you are a "power user" of Excel (think complex lookups, nested ifs, and data modeling) or have worked within EPM environments.
• Problem Solver: You don’t just move data. You ask why the data looks that way and how to make the reporting more insightful for leadership.
• Curious & Adaptive: You have a genuine interest in mastering Workday Adaptive Planning and staying ahead of cloud finance trends.
Role related attributes:
Communication & Collaboration
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
Adaptability & Resilience
• Comfortable with ambiguity and change.
• Action-oriented, calm under pressure, and able to multitask.
Integrity & Accountability
• High professional standards and ethical conduct.
• Results-driven and detail-oriented.
Cultural Competence
• Global mindset and cultural awareness.

• Multi-territory
