Are you an aspiring Human Resources professional with a passion for people, culture, and organisational excellence?
We are inviting Expressions of Interest for Undergraduate Internship Opportunities – Human Resources.
These Brisbane‑based internships provide hands‑on experience across core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, learning & development, HR operations, and people analytics. The internship is structured for full‑time participation during the June/July 2026 semester break and two days per week during semester, offering practical exposure that supports future HR generalist or specialist pathways. This internship is designed to develop early‑career capability and may support progression into future graduate opportunities, subject to performance and business needs.
Responsibilities
Recruitment & onboarding: Assist with job ads, candidate screening, interview coordination, reference checks, onboarding packs and pre‑employment compliance.
HR operations: Support employee file management, HRIS updates, contract preparation, and policy administration.
Learning & development: Help coordinate training sessions, track attendance, maintain training records, and update learning materials.
People data & reporting: Compile and format HR metrics (turnover, training hours, recruitment activity, compliance data) in Excel and PowerPoint for internal dashboards.
Employee engagement: Contribute to wellbeing initiatives, internal communications, and cultural activities.
Compliance & documentation: Assist with maintaining accurate records, HR process documents, and audit‑ready documentation.
To be considered, you’ll ideally bring
Final or penultimate‑year studies in Commerce, Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related discipline.
Strong interest in developing a career in HR - whether generalist or specialist (e.g., recruitment, learning and development, or HR operations)
Interest in HR Operations in construction projects and willingness to in the future mobilise for a project for site project experience as part of early career development.
High attention to detail, strong written communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Confident with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with HRIS, SharePoint or survey tools is advantageous.
A proactive, people‑focused mindset with the ability to build positive working relationships.
Availability: Full‑time during the June/July 2026 break, then 2 days/week during semester (flexible around assessments/exams).
Current Australian work rights.
