VINCI is a world leader in concessions, energy and construction, operating in over 120 countries with a workforce of more than 285,000 employees. We are a Global Group with local company opportunities.
Spiecapag has been delivering large-scale pipeline infrastructure and drilling projects across Australia and the Asia Pacific region for more than 20 years. New projects and continuous growth mean we have a long‑term career opportunity with an industry leader.
About this role
Are you an aspiring civil construction engineer who wants real project experience - and a clear pathway into project or site engineering?
We are inviting Expressions of Interest for Undergraduate Internship Opportunities – Civil Construction Engineering.
These Brisbane‑based internships (with potential short site visits) give you hands‑on exposure to pre‑contracts and tenders, supply chain, and operational projects. You’ll contribute during the June/July 2026 semester break and continue two days per week during semester, gaining experience that supports future roles in construction and project management, including site engineering pathways. We anticipate these internships will provide a pathway to our 2027 Graduate intake, subject to performance and business needs.
Responsibilities
Pre‑contracts & tenders: Help prepare bid schedules, method statements, capability packs and compliance registers; coordinate inputs across engineering, HSEQ and commercial teams.
Supply chain support: Assist with supplier prequalification, RFQs, comparative analyses, and framework onboarding; maintain procurement trackers and documentation.
Operational projects: Support planning and site engineering teams with look‑aheads, ITPs, document control, and progress reporting; contribute to preparing constructability reviews and lessons learned.
Data & reporting: Turn technical and commercial data into clear insights for decision‑making (Excel/PowerPoint/Power BI).
Quality & safety: Model our safety‑first culture and help keep project and corporate records accurate and audit‑ready.
To be considered, you’ll ideally bring
Final or penultimate‑year studies in Civil Engineering (or related).
Genuine interest in developing a career in construction delivery, project management and site engineering.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to MS Project/Primavera P6, AutoCAD or GIS is a plus.
Ability to read drawings/specifications and communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
High attention to detail, curiosity to learn, and a proactive, team‑first mindset.
Availability: Full‑time during June/July 2026 break, then 2 days/week during semester (flexible around exams).
Current Australian work rights and the ability to visit project sites as required (driver’s licence advantageous).
What we offer
Practical, mentored experience for early career development with a tier‑one specialist in pipelines and trenchless delivery.
A supportive learning culture backed by VINCI Group
Cross‑functional exposure (pre‑contracts, procurement, operations) that builds the foundations for graduate and site engineering roles.
