About this role
We are inviting expressions of interest for an experienced Planner / Scheduler to join our team in Brisbane.
This role plays a key part in supporting tender submissions and project delivery by developing high-quality schedules, analysing project risks and opportunities, and contributing to innovative planning solutions.
Responsibilities
Developing comprehensive, realistic, and achievable schedules for tenders, projects, and studies.
Preparing scenario and alternative schedules, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring all third‑party requirements are integrated.
Working closely with estimators and tender/project teams to ensure alignment between estimates, schedules and all deliverables.
Performing detailed schedule analysis including critical path, float, health checks and forecasting.
Producing manning histograms, layouts, views and other supporting documentation for internal and client review.
Supporting cashflow analysis, work breakdown structures, and project execution planning.
Coaching team members in scheduling best practices and contributing to continuous improvement of planning tools and processes.
Providing schedule support during the early execution phase of awarded projects.
This role is predominantly tender-focused but will also support active projects as required.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally possess the following:
Bachelor of Engineering (preferred)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling
Experience in the construction, engineering, or manufacturing industries (preferred)
Prior Pipeline or Drilling experience will be well regarded
Proficient in Oracle Primavera P6 or Primavera Cloud
Advanced level in Microsoft Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly numerate - can see trends and pin point reporting errors rapidly
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Accurate and attentive to detail
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work respectfully and collaboratively in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Solid appreciation of risk management strategy and practices.
Proficient in creating reports
Construction engineering knowledge, preferably in pipeline related industry
Proficient in Trimble Tilos (time-chainage diagrams)
Basic knowledge in Microsoft PowerBi
Strong presentation skills
